Head Care Officer Role



Essential Information



The head care officer supervise and support care staff, while also dealing with a limited number of patients. They are responsible for maintaining a high level of patient care, evaluating other care staff and acting as an educational resource for care staff. Like all Head Care Staff, they must complete a post secondary education program that offers a diploma, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Care or Paramedical to be able to deal effectively and safely and legally with any emergency that could happen.
 

They Can not act as a Registered Nurse, This is important.


are experienced Carers who have displayed leadership, management and communication skills. They are responsible for managing, supervising and assisting the Care staff, as well as providing administrative support and patient care. A hospital, clinic or healthcare facility may have several Care Officers, each responsible for a different shift, department or uni,t in our case general Managment of Associated FIDES.

Regular duties include directing the acceptamce. discharge and general flow of patients, and assigning Care and support staff to patients. While daily goals must be met, effective care officers are flexible and able to prioritize and adapt during emergencies, provide guidance on administering care to new patients or those with special needs and answer questions regarding protocol.

They frequently work with other nurses and patients to create a plan of care that is individualized to a patient's needs. Head Care Officers implement training courses and help educate and train new care and staff.

As shift supervisors, Head Care Officers document the performance of care staff, perform evaluations and counsel care staff on unsatisfactory performance. In addition, they meet with upper management to discuss personnel and administrative issues and address and solve problems among staff.
 

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities



Aside from managerial responsibilities, The head care officer perform administrative duties including creating schedules, maintaining adequate supplies and informing staff of changes to protocol, plan budgets for the nursing and care staff and provide clerical assistance to the care staff and other authorites.

 

Nursing Duties and Responsibilities



While most duties and responsibilities are managerial and administrative, The head care officer also provide some patient care. Although the number of patients from each case may vary depending on the case, problem and type of housing and environment.

The head care officer must assess and monitor patients according to the qualifications they holdand report any special incidents that happen or changes to health of the client.

Other duties include monitoring clients and conferring with doctors on a patient's progress and reporting special circumstances to the relevent authority or GP.
